Amendments for Garbage Management Plan and Garbage Record Book coming into force March 01, 2018.

At IMO MEPC 70th session the amendments to the Annex V of the MARPOL Convention related to the Form of Garbage Record Book were adopted. These amendments were adopted by Resolution MEPC.277(70) with the entry-into-force date 1 March 2018 and include the following:

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE WRECK REMOVAL CONVENTION 2007 FOR SINGAPORE-REGISTERED SHIPS

“Singapore has ratified the WRC which will enter into force in Singapore on 8 September 2017. All Singapore-registered ships over 300 GT (except excluded ships1) are required to carry on board a WRC State certificate to attest that insurance or other financial security to cover liability for wrecks is in place.”
