UK Ratifies Maritime Labor Convention

The UK has ratified the Maritime Labor Convention less than three weeks prior to its entry into force.

Junior Transport Minister Norman Baker announced Wednesday that the ratification would become official within the next week.

The UK's ratification of the convention will in turn apply to all Red Ensign territories and vessels registered with their flags.
