Africa Maritime Conferences to Take Place This Week
Africa's maritime leaders will convene in Sandton, Johannesburg for two conferences this week to discuss how the continent can enhance its position as a global player in the shipping industry.
The first of the week's events is the Second Annual Heads of African Maritime Administrators Conference which will convene October 22-24 at the Sinosteel Plaza. The three day forum will build upon last year's inaugural event in Mombasa, Kenya.

Officials from the South African Maritime Safety Authority, which operates the country's ship registry, will speak at both events.
