Isle of Man Also Extends Owner Eligibility
The Isle of Man has passed legislation allowing Monaco and Switzerland-based owners to register their vessels with the flag.
The law is specifically intended to present the Isle of Man as a more favorable jurisdiction for yacht registration.
The superyacht market seems to be a growing focus for registries; just yesterday the OGSR reported the Cayman Islands' decision to accept yacht registrations from an expanded list of countries.
It will be interesting to see how this trend continues and which flags are poised to most benefit.
