Registries to Have Strong Presence at CMA Shipping 2014

Registries including the Marshall Islands, Liberia, Dominica, Panama, Antigua, Jamaica and Vanuatu will congregate at Shipping 2014 this week in Stamford, CT.

The 29th annual conference and exposition, organized for the Connecticut Maritime Association by the OGSR's parent company, brings together over 2,000 members of the industry from owners, financiers and lawyers to class societies, marine surveyors and suppliers.

Among this year's speakers is the Liberian Registry's Capt. David Pascoe, Senior Vice Predsident of Maritime Operations and Standards. Pascoe will participate in the second annual panel discussion on the Maritime Labor Convention, scheduled for Tuesday morning. He also presented on last year's panel.

The Marshall Islands and Bahamas Registries will return as exhibitors, joined this year by new exhibitor the Dominica Maritime Registry. The Marshall Islands will continue to celebrate their recent achievement of 100 million gross tons by hosting the event's opening cocktail reception on Monday evening.  

Panama, Antigua, Jamaica and Vanuatu will all also send delegates to the show.
