Nigeria Ratifies 40 Conventions, Domesticates 19 International Laws

1/31/2019 Source: NIMASA - The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dakuku Peterside, has disclosed that Nigeria has been able to ratify 40 conventions passed by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and International Labour Organisation (ILO) covering Maritime Safety, Labour and Marine Environment.

Turkey has raised the fines for Marine Pollution three fold

1/25/2019 Source: Zihni Shipping Agency - New Marine Pollution Regulations have been imposed in Turkish waters. Heavy fines have been put in to effect with the changes in the Turkish Environment Law, No: 2872, on 29 November 2018, in case of marine pollution in the Turkish territorial waters.

Proposal for new legislation to advance digitalisation of the Danish International Registry of Shipping
