AMSA Marine Notice 13/2014 Re: Safe access to and from vessels while in port

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority issued the notice to remind ship owners, ship operators, ship masters, port authorities, and terminal operators of their obligation under IMO regulations to provide a safe means of access to persons embarking or disembarking from vessels while in port.

USCG announces changes to their Marine Safety Manual Vol. III

The Marine Safety Manual provides information and interpretations on international conventions and U.S. statutory and regulatory issues relating to marine industry personnel. The last revisions were released on May 27, 1999. The primary reasons for these changes, which are effective as of Aug.

US to Require Fishing Vessels to Comply with National Regulations
